get off your high horse

Get off your high horse is a cliche often used to express a request to someone to stop behaving in such a self-righteous and superior manner. Someone that is on their high house is acting superior to everyone else, believing they are truly better in one way or another whether it be that they have a certain skill that qualifies them to be the best at something or if it is more of a generalization about themselves. This phrase is for when you want someone to stop acting this way.
